Sairupa, Manish, Sradhanjali, Rakesh triumph

P Sairupa (Cuttack) and Manish Kumar (Khurda) won titles in girls` and open categories of the Odisha State Under-9 Chess Championship, which concluded held here at Srusti Academy of Management today.
Sradhanjali Jena (Cuttack) and Fide Master Rakesh Kumar Jena emerged champions in girls and open categories of the State Under-19 Championship, which was conducted simultaneously. Top two finishers in under-9 category qualified to represent Odisha in concerned National championship to be held at Ahmadabad, Gujarat, from June 11 to 19 this year. Top four finishers in under-19 category qualified to represent Odisha in concerned National championship to be held at Chennai from July 24 to 31 this year.
Sanghamitra Patnaik, Principal, Prabhujee English Medium School, handed over the prizes in the closing function. All Odisha Chess Association Secretary Vivek Kumar Tibarewal and Srusti Academy of Management Director Prof GD Mishra were present on the occasion.

U-19 girls: 1. Sradhanjali Jena (5.5), 2. Sunyasakta Satpathy (5), 3. Rutumbara Bidhar (4), 4. Sovna Sonali Jena (4), 5. Saina Salonika (3.5).
